Fernie, B.C. July 16th, 2009 – “Island Lake Lodge welcomes the public launch of The Phase 1 of the Rocky Mountain Grizzly Center and The Fernie Gateway Project” says the GM of Island Lake Lodge Steve Kuijt. Kuijt went on to say “Island Lake Lodge was instrumental in funding many of the start up costs for the Rocky Mountain Grizzly Center and have helped to spearhead this cooperative venture, we are very happy to see this project get off the ground”. Although the project is in the preliminary stages of design and fundraising, the fact that a site has been chosen for Phase 1 of the Rocky Mountain Grizzly Center and Architects drawings are also in preliminary phases is very encouraging.
